A Teenager broke into a house and stole €300 of cash and smashed up doors and wardrobes a court has heard.
The 16 year old with an address in Tallaght is charged with burglary in the Tallaght Area on a date unknown between July 18th and July 20th 2008.
The court was told that the burglary occurred in July 2008 and there was no match for the fingerprints taken from the scene. Sgt. Jones said that the accused’s fingerprints were taken in Naas in the Autumn of 2009 and it will be alleged that they matched the fingerprints taken at the scene.
He added that it will be alleged that between July 18 and 20, the back door of the house was forced open and a money box which contained €300 was taken. He said it will be alleged that there was a lot of damage done to the house including doors smashed and a wardrobe pulled asunder. Sgt. Jones said the bill came to €600, €300 for the money box and €300 for the damage. Judge James McDonnell accepted jurisdiction. He remanded the teenager on continuing bail for 2 weeks for mention.
