A MAN accused of assaulting a Garda has had his case delayed for a month.
Sergeant Bernard Jones asked Judge James McDonnell in Tallaght District Court for a four week remand in Jonathon Yoraths case for the DPP’s directions and possible further charges.
Yorath, aged 24 with an address at Homelawn Road, Tallaght, is charged with assaulting Eric Scurry at Yoraths address on January 8 2010.
Judge McDonnell asked why directions were not available.
Sgt Jones said the prosecuting garda had sent a file to the DPP regarding this matter but had not yet received a reply.
Judge McDonnell remanded Yorath on continuing bail for a month for the DPP’s directions and possible further charges.
